For this week's question, I'd like to stick to the topic of writing. I heard some students discussing punctuation in their first language, and that conversation gave me an idea for this week's question. To be exact, I'd like you to describe how writing in your langauge is similar to or different from writing in English. You don't need to write a long paragraph. Rather, you can focus on one aspect of writing in both languages; for example, you might discuss differences in punctuation, or you could talk about the alphabet. You could even talk about a particular difference causes confusion. There are many other possible ideas.

Writing is way to communicate with people and it was the best way to communicate in the past because they didnt have phones or any thing like that and it's different between language and anther of example in Arabic we write from the right to the left and we have different letters and and we have alot of difference but their is alot of things that look like writing in English like punctuation marks and alot of things but i can't tall them all because I'm a native arabic writer or speaker so I won't feel them I'm really sorry for that and I wish that you all like what wrote
Both of languages have similar and difference way to express their idea. I divided the difference into three parts between Chinese and English. In terms of punctuation, Chinese have question mark when someone asked the interrogative sentence, but English always utilize comma in the end of the sentence. The alphabet point of view, the Chinese has 37 letters and 4 different tones. The Chinese is phonetic alphabet to make up the sound of the character alone rather than put together to make up words. In terms of tense, English’s verb has different tense to express their meaning of sentence. For example, English is often used the simple present to describe the present time or situation. But in Chinese we are used to utilizing one verb to describe the all thing.

I think Japanese absolutely differs from English because between Japanese and English have three big different points.
Firstly, layout is absolutely different. English is horizontal writing that sentence through from left to light. Japanese could be horizontal writing; however, published book like novels or Japanese text book is usually vertical writing that sentence through up to down.
The next point is characters. Someone said that at the Journal 1, Japanese has three different characters: Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji (Chinese Character). Alphabet has just 26 different letters, but even only Hiragana has 50 different letters, and Katakana also has 50. In addition, Kanji has millions of different letters. I have been using Japanese as the first language for 23 years but could find new letters or words every single day.
Finally, Japanese use a different logic of writing from English. When we write an English essay, we should write main or important idea in the topic paragraph or sentence. However, the last sentence or paragraph is usually main ideas on a Japanese essay. First sentence or paragraph is just an introduction.
Similarity between English and Japanese is just that some words are different between speaking and writing.
I would like to compare about difference way between Japanese and English. Firstly, we have to write a capital letter at first letter of each sentence in English, but Japanese hasn’t a capital letter, so we don’t have to care about a capital letter for first letter of each sentence in Japanese. About transitions, there are two ways to write in English. The way is semicolon + transitions + comma + sentence, and other way is period + Transitions + comma + sentence. In Japanese, there is no way to use semicolon, so it makes me little bit confuse.
Although both English and Japanese don't have female/male article compared with French or Spanish, English has complicated grammar rules more than Japanese. One of the obvious differences is that English is strict with grammar rule of number. For example, English has to change the verb form such as singular or plural based on the subject. However, Japanese doesn't have such rule and depend on the subject. Even though people describe something by using simple verb in Japanese, Japanese can use the same form. Thus, Japanese people sometimes forget to change the verb form. Furthermore, English have to change the article. If the noun is countable, we have to put an, a or plural. Compared with it, Japanese doesn't have such grammar rule which based on the noun. I often confuse with countable noun or uncountable noun.
I think writing in Japanese is different from writing in English because of below reason.
Japanese language has three quite different latter; hiragana, katakana, kanji. So Japanese have to memorize a lot of latters. But kanji is very useful letter. Most of kanji have two parts which are called hen and tsukuri. Hen is right part and tsukuri is left part. Moreover, each part has each own different meaning. It means that you can expect unknown words if you know the meaning of hen or tsukuri the words have. On the other hand, English has 26 alphabet. Therefore, it is not difficult to memorize all alphabet because the number of letters is few. But you have to memorize all of words because alphabet has no meaning. English words do not show similar meanings even if you find words that have similar spell.
In other words, you have to memorize a lot of letter first when you write in Japanese, while you must memorize many words when you write in English.

first of all, there are some different and similar between English and Arabic . English has twenty six letters; on other hand, Arabic has twenty eight letters. Also, in English we are wirting on the left papers , and in Arabic we are writing on the right papers. however, in English and Arabic that same begin of the sentence. subject and verb, but we have difference about adjective and noun. for example, in arabic we say that I buy bicycle new but in English say that I buy a new bicycle .
